The Daytona Road Course is a unique challenge for GT racing, combining the high-speed banking of the famous Daytona International Speedway with a technical infield section. Originally designed for endurance racing, the circuit rewards drivers who can find the right balance between outright speed and consistency, with very little room for mistakes.
For WEC-style GT racing, Daytona is particularly well suited to multiclass competition. The long, fast sections provide opportunities for LMP2 cars to make time, while LMGT3 drivers must carefully manage traffic and defend through the tighter infield. The result is a demanding mix of slipstream battles, close racing and strategic overtakes where patience can be just as important as pace.
With its high speeds, heavy braking zones and famous banking, Daytona provides a very different challenge from a traditional European circuit and is a fitting venue for a proper endurance-style GT battle.
