GT3 Season 2023 - Round 4 - Monza

Round 4 saw us in the sunny climes of northern Italy at the theatre of speed, Monza,

Qualifying saw the series leader Max Bayer taking pole but my a much lesser margin as previous races,

The race with a clean start which is rare a Monza saw three wide in to turn 1, a little rubbing of door handles but all got through somehow, a few laps in series leader Max Bayer in the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2 had a slight coming together with Dan Zloy in his BMW M4 GT3 and lost a lot of time recovering, so the fight back started for him,

Up front with Dan Zloy having some issues left Genc Macula in the lead, with previous technical difficulties it was great to see Genc having an issue free race and taking his maiden series win, with Max Bayer crossing the line in 6th but after a coming together with Alfred Di Natale he may find himself promoted to p5 after the stewards review,

Second place went to Jure Sokac in his Porsche 992 GT3 who had a solid trouble free race and Michael White bringing his Audi R8 GT3 Evo II home in third place,

Richard Veenema took 4th in his Porsche 992 GT3 and was unable to mount a challenge to the podium with a lack of top speed due to an early collision,

With a lot of the other drivers struggling for grip in the heat of Monza saw a few retirements,
