ROUND 2 - MONZA CURVA GRANDE details

Track Monza Curva Grande Circuit
Circuit Length 5.793 km (3.600 miles)
Turns 11

Monza is a true cathedral to speed, unmatched around the world for its sense of history and passion, fuelled in part by its long history and also the fanaticism of the Italian fans, the tifosi. With the steadily decaying remnants of the high speed banked circuit providing a backdrop through the parkland trees, the atmosphere here is like no other; a mix of speed, melodrama and more than a hint of melancholy.

Round 1: Bahrain Outer – A rapid, flowing loop with minimal braking zones, rewarding drivers who can master the art of high-speed precision.

Round 2: Monza Curva Grande – The ‘Temple of Speed’ reimagined, featuring an even faster configuration where top speeds will be breathtaking.

Round 3: Fuji Speedway Classic – A blast from the past, removing the Dunlop hairpin and opening up more relentless full-throttle action.

Round 4: COTA National – Tight corners demands precision, strategy, and skill to navigate traffic and optimize performance across classes.

Round 5: Circuit de la Sarthe Mulsanne – The grand finale at Le Mans, utilising the legendary Mulsanne Straight in all its unrestricted, high-speed glory.

Contact between Szymon and Bernado on lap 1 at T1 Curva Grande
Warning to Szymon Tykalowicz, aggressive driving and lack of respect for fellow racers
Looking at the replay the stewards all agreed the start was aggressive by Szymon but actually didn't break any rules, but felt it is the kind of driving seen in daily races and not want we want to seen in our leagues, Benrnado did leave the door open at turn 1, and then closed it while Szymon was alongside, however they feel Szymon should have realised there was no move on and backed out, So both drivers could have done more to avoid the collision, which in the end caused more damage to other drivers getting caught up in it,
Sometimes the smart thing it backout and think of the longer game,

Race
Oussama makes contact with Bernardo at T3
10s Penalty to Oussama Knani, avoidable contact
Oussama was pushing Bernardo in towards the pit wall, while nothing wrong with forcing a driver offline by not allowing room, However multiple contacts on the straight is not allowed, Into T3 Bernardo was tapped from Oussama on the rear corner unselttling the car and causing a spin

Race
Miltiple Contact and Intentional Revenge
Race Ban - COTA for Tykalowicz
The Stewards have been looking at the incident, instigated from a mistake at the last corner by Tykalowicz, then trying to get some slipstream hitting the rear of Fillingham more than once, in to T1 Fillingham being off line understeered into Tykalowicz with minor contact, but returning the place, but at T3 Tykalowicz runs wide and Fillingham's line already choosen through the fast corner they have minor contact on the exit, But Tykalowicz seeks revenge and tries to brake check into T5 and T6, Fillingham saw it coming Tykalowicz tries again into T10 where he was 30-35kph slower at the apex than previous laps, they have contact again causing lasting damage to Fillingham.
Intentional revenge will not be tolerated, Tykalowicz you were warned last race to have more respect, if you dont learn from this we will remove you from this and future series,

Race
Danilo Made contact with Simon whilest overtaking into T8
5s Penalty for avoidable contact / Forcing a driver off circuit
After reviewing the incident, the stewards concluded that there was avoidable contact which forced Simon off the circuit. While it was acknowledged that Danilo was engaged in a close battle with Edward and was attempting to make a swift pass, the manoeuvre should have been executed cleanly and without contact, Simon stuck to the racing line which is the advice given.
Complete

Mike Landreth, Anthony Smeekes, Richard Veenema, Arben Nushi, Ian Paskin, Craig Foreman
Race
T8 Sarah madde minor contact but forced Simon wide off circuit
5s Penalty for avoidable contact / Forcing a driver off circuit
The stewards reviewed the incident and concluded that, while there was minor contact that impeded Simon and forced him off the circuit, it was evident that Sarah was engaged in a battle with Filippo and was attempting to pass as quickly as possible. However, the maneuver should have been executed more cleanly.
Complete
